Great things continue to happen at NKYVC!
We would like to announce an exciting partnership between NKYVC and St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine. For a number of years, NKYVC has been working to address injury prevention and treatment of injuries for our athletes. After several discussions with the leadership of NKYVC and St. Elizabeth Healthcare, we have arranged for this partnership to begin and to take our efforts to the next level.
St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine will provide the following services to NKYVC:
• Weekly free injury clinics held at Town and Country Sports Complex
• Immediate access to our physician and therapy services
• Sports concussion program featuring ImPACT™ testing
• Educational programs for coaches, athletes, and parents
• On site Athletic Training services for tournaments and other special events
WEEKLY EVALUATION: Athletic Trainers from St. Elizabeth will be available at Town & Country Athletic Center TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY 500-730PM
In order to use this service, the form (Medical Authorization and Release of Health Information) must be completed and presented to the Athletic Trainer at the time of service. The form is available below and is also on the FORMS link.
It is crucial that you work with our coaches in letting them know when an injury occurs, regardless of the severity, so that it can be addressed, evaluated and treatment can commence as quickly as possible.
There is no contract that says you must use St. Elizabeth Sports Medicine doctors, but it will provide an option to all of our members - an option that we have been very impressed with.
